One-Sheet Game Preview
The Nashville Predators face the Detroit Red Wings tonight for the eighth and final time this season in a battle for not only the Central Division but the Western Conference crown. The Predators (105 points) enter tonight two points ahead of the Red Wings (103 points) in the league standings.
Tonight's game, which faces off at 7:00 p.m. CT, will be televised on FSN South, HDNet, and WGFX 104.5-FM. Tickets are still available and can be ordered online, by calling 615-770-PUCK or visiting any Ticketmaster outlet.
Nashville has four games remaining after tonight with just one of those tilts on the road. The Red Wings, who have a game in hand on Nashville, will play three at home and two on the road to finish out the season. Four of Detroit's last five tilts are vs. Central Division foes Columbus and Chicago.
Predators fans can expect to see winger Todd Bertuzzi for the first time in a Red Wings sweater. The 6'3", 242-pound forward, who was acquired by Detroit from Florida at the trade deadline, has returned to action after missing much of the season with a back injury. He is pointless in three games. Goaltender Chris Osgood is reported to be starting tonight's game, purportedly to give the team's No. 1 netminder a night off before facing Dallas on Friday.
Nashville captain Kimmo Timonen (upper body strain) is probable for tonight's game after leaving Tuesday's contest against the Edmonton Oilers early. Timonen leads all Predators in scoring against Detroit this season, totaling 7 points (1g-6a) in 7 games.

PREDS QUICK HITS
Shea Weber, who has a goal in each of his last two games, is one marker shy of tying the single-season record for goals by a Nashville defenseman (Andy Delmore had 18 in 2002-03). The second-year rearguard is one of six NHL defensemen with 17-or-more goals this season... Peter Forsberg has five assists in his last three games... Tomas Vokoun's victory on Tuesday marked the fourth straight season he has hit the 25-win mark... Ramzi Abid notched a career-high three assists, including one on the game-winning goal, in Tuesday's win... Vern Fiddler is on a three-game point streak (2g-2a-4pts)... Greg Zanon, who blocked a team-high five shots on Tuesday and assisted on the game-winning goal, entered last night's game ranked ninth in the NHL with 174 blocked shots... Kimmo Timonen is one point shy of 300 career NHL points.
RADULOV SETS ROOKIE MARK
Alexander Radulov's goal on Tuesday established a franchise single-season record for points by a rookie (16g-18a-34pts). Martin Erat had 33 points (9g-24a) in 2001-02. Radulov's goal also tied the franchise record for goals by a rookie (Adam Hall had 16 in 2002-03). The 20-year old is currently on a three-game point streak (2g-2a-4pts) and ranks second on the club with a +19 rating.
