Tonight the Nashville Predators will look to even their Western Conference Quarterfinal series at two games apiece when they play the San Jose Sharks in Game 4 at HP Pavilion at San Jose.

Game time is 9:00 p.m. CT. Fans can tune in to the game on the cable network Versus in the U.S. or TSN in Canada, or listen to WGFX 104.5-FM locally.

San Jose took a 2-1 series lead on Monday, using two second-period goals to overcome a 1-0 Nashville lead en route to a 3-1 win. Predators rookie forward Alexander Radulov, who served a one-game NHL suspension in Game 3 after collecting two goals and an assist in the series' first two games, will return to the lineup tonight.

"If he comes back and plays the way he was, that'd be huge because of the fact that he was a pretty important part in the first two games," Predators head coach Barry Trotz said Tuesday. "Having him back, he'll give us some jump. He gives us a lethal guy with some hands. If his game is going the way it can be, he can be a force."

One lingering question for Nashville is the status of forward Martin Erat, who left Monday's game midway through the second period with a right leg injury. "He's day-to-day right now," Trotz said around 2:30 p.m. PT Tuesday. "We'll know [today]. He talked to my trainer just about a half-hour ago and he expects that he'll skate in the morning and we'll see where we are."

Trotz mentioned the possible recall of either Ramzi Abid or Pat Leahy from Milwaukee of the American Hockey League as a contingency plan based on Erat's status.

Predators Notes

Nashville penalty-killers went 6-6 in Game 3 Monday, running their series mark to 17-18. Entering last night's NHL playoff action, the Nashville PK was operating at the top clip (94.4%) in the league... Nashville is 1-1 in playoff Game 4's all-time, 0-1 when playing Game 4 on the road... Nashville posted a record of 23-15-3 on the road in 2006-07, including a mark of 1-1-0 at H.P. Pavilion... Nashville's 4-3 shootout win at San Jose on Feb. 28, 2007 ended a five-game regular-season winless skid for the Predators at H.P. Pavilion and, including two playoff losses last year, a seven-game stretch altogether... Nashville posted a record of 4-5-1 in 10 road games in which the club was held to 20-or-fewer shots during the 2006-07 regular season.

Defenseman Ryan Suter scored his first NHL playoff goal in Game 3 Monday night. The 22-year-old leads Nashville in average ice time in the WCQ series (25:29)... Alexander Radulov is expected to return to the Nashville lineup tonight after serving a one-game league suspension. Since 1999, Radulov (3g-1a) is only the third player (rookie or veteran), following Buffalo's Jason Pominville and Carolina's Eric Staal (both last season), to post four-or-more points in his first two career playoff games... J.P. Dumont, who scored two goals in both Game 1 and Game 2 of the WCQ vs. San Jose, netted an assist in Game 3 and is the only Predator with points in the first three games of the series. After posting 14 points (7g-7a) in 18 playoff games with Buffalo last year, he is the first player since Petr Nedved (Pittsburgh) in 1996 to score four-or-more goals in his first two games with a new team... Goaltender Tomas Vokoun made 38 saves in Monday night's Game 3. Vokoun holds the franchise record for saves in a playoff game (41), a mark he hit twice in the 2004 WCQ vs. Detroit... Center Scott Nichol, who logged 4:31 of shorthanded ice time in Game 3, led Nashville with a 6-2 record (75.0%) in the face-off circle... LW Darcy Hordichuk made his NHL post-season debut in Game 3 at San Jose.
