On the heels of their Opening Night victory over Ottawa, the Nashville Predators are set to host a Central Division rival for the first time in the 2014-15 campaign.

The Dallas Stars hit the ice at Bridgestone Arena on Saturday night for the first of three occasions this season, and they’ll be facing a Predators squad that potted three, third period goals on Thursday night against the Senators to secure a 3-2 win.

Two of the new Preds, forwards James Neal and Mike Ribeiro, played together in Dallas for a handful of seasons. Ribeiro skated in Texas from 2006 to 2012, tallying 123 goals and 407 points in 461 contests. Neal was drafted by the Stars in 2005 and appeared in a Dallas sweater from 2008 to 2011, beginning his streak of 20-plus goal seasons during his rookie campaign.

Craig Smith has seven points in nine career games against the Stars, while Colin Wilson has nine points in 14 career games versus Dallas. Nashville is 25-31-3 all-time against the club from Big D.
