The Nashville Predators open the 2014-15 campaign tonight as they host David Legwand and the Ottawa Senators at Bridgestone Arena.

Puck drop of the 16th NHL season in Nashville comes with plenty of changes, including a new head coach in Peter Laviolette, as well as forwards James Neal, Mike Ribeiro, Olli Jokinen and Derek Roy and defenseman Anton Volchenkov.

Thursday's home opener also marks the return of Legwand to the Music City. The former Preds forward spent all of his 15 NHL seasons in Nashville before being dealt to Detroit at the 2014 NHL Trade Deadline. Legwand signed a two-year deal with Ottawa this past July.

The Preds open the season at home for just the second time in the last seven such occasions. Nashville is 7-7-1 all-time in season openers and 2-1-2 in their last five.

Opening Night rosters for both clubs can be found here.

Fans will want to be in their seats by 6:45 p.m. (CT) this evening for a very special on-ice video presentation that will commence before the opening faceoff.
