Nashville topped Dallas by a 5-3 final on Tuesday night, led by the return of Captain Shea Weber from a three-game absence due to a lower-body injury. Weber scored on the power play and added two assists in the victory. The Devils fell 3-1 to Carolina on Tuesday and have lost three in a row.
Forward Mike Fisher is scheduled to play in his 1,000th career NHL game this evening, making him the 301st player in League history to reach the mark. After his goal on the man advantage on Tuesday, Weber tied Kimmo Timonen for the top spot on the franchise’s all-time list with 182 power-play points. Weber is also one goal shy of tying Martin Erat for No. 2 on the franchise’s all-time goals list.
