Congratulations to Nashville Predators forward Mike Fisher and his wife Carrie Underwood on the birth of their first child.
Fisher joined the Preds on Feb. 10, 2010, after being acquired from the Ottawa Senators for two draft picks. Since moving to Music City, the center led the Predators to their first-ever playoff series win and has 177 points in 277 games.
“We are extremely happy to have a healthy baby and are blessed and excited to have this addition to our family," Fisher said. "Both Carrie and Isaiah are doing well and it is one of the greatest feelings in the world to be a father.”
In the first game following the birth of his son, Fisher recorded a goal in nearly 18 minutes of ice time versus the Detroit Red Wings.
