Fans Get Chance to "Skate with the Preds"

-Preds to hold first team practice at A-Game Sportsplex; followed by public skate-

Nashville, Tenn. (October 23, 2009) – Fans who have ever dreamed of sharing the ice with a Nashville Predators player are in luck.

This coming Monday, October 26 the Predators are holding an open-to-the-public practice at 4 p.m. at A-Game Sportsplex in Franklin (215 Gothic Court). Directly following practice will be a public skate in which fans will get the opportunity to skate with some of their favorite Predators players.

Starting at 4 p.m., fans are invited to attend the Predators first-ever practice held in Franklin at A-Game Sportsplex. From 5:40 – 6:30 p.m. A select group of Nashville Predators players will participate in a public skate held at A-Game Sportsplex. For just $5 (including skate rental), fans will have the chance to skate alongside and interact with some of their favorite Predators players. Predators players will also be participating in the final Get Out And Learn! (G.O.A.L!) session, held on a second rink at A-Game Sportsplex.

“Skate with the Preds” Schedule of Events:

•4 p.m. – Open-to-the-public practice at A-Game Sportsplex
             oFirst ever team practice held in Franklin
•4 – 6:30 p.m. – Outdoor kids activities
             oIncluding games and inflatables (weather permitting)
•5:40 – 6:30 p.m. – “Skate with the Preds” public skate
             o$5 admission (includes skate rental)
•5:40 p.m. – Final G.O.A.L! program of the October session
oG.O.A.L! is a FREE on-ice youth hockey program created to offer youngsters the opportunity to experience the excitement of hockey without the cost of purchasing equipment. It is designed for boys and girls aged 4-9 with no prior hockey or skating experience.
