Nashville, Tenn. (March 11, 2009) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned goaltender Drew MacIntyre to the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.

MacIntyre, who was recalled on an emergency basis yesterday afternoon, backed up Dan Ellis in last night’s game against Washington. Pekka Rinne was sick yesterday and unable to play. With Rinne expected to be healthy for Thursday's game, the emergency conditions were completed and MacIntyre was returned to the AHL.

The Predators host the New York Rangers for the first time since Dec. 8, 2005 tomorrow night at the Sommet Center, Nashville’s final home game before heading on a four-game West Coast trip. Tickets to this and all Predators home games may be purchased online at, in addition to the Sommet Center box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, or by calling (615) 770-PUCK. The game will be televised on FS Tennessee and broadcast on the Predators flagship radio station – WGFX-104.5 FM The Zone.
