Dekanich Reassigned to Milwaukee

Nashville, Tenn. (October 17, 2010) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned goaltender Mark Dekanich to Milwaukee (AHL).

Dekanich, 24 (5/10/86), backed up rookie netminder Anders Lindback for three games during his five-day recall to Nashville. He returns to the Admirals where he’s posted a 1-0-0 record with a 1.22 goals-against average and a .951 save percentage thus far in 2010-11.

The Predators will look to improve on their 3-0-1 record when they face the Calgary Flames on Tuesday at Bridgestone Arena (7 p.m. CT, 102.9 FM The Buzz), before playing host to superstar Sidney Crosby and the 2009 Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday (7 p.m. CT, 102.9 FM The Buzz, Fox Sports Tennessee). Thursday’s game is also Hockey Fights Cancer Night in Smashville with the Predators donating 25 percent of every single-game ticket sold to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in addition to holding countless other awareness and fundraising events throughout the evening.
