Callahan Wins "Celebrities Strike Up a Cure" Charity Bowling Event

Preds forwards Vern Fiddler, Scott Nichol, and Steve Sullivan and broadcaster Tom Callahan participated in News Channel 5 sportscaster Eric Yutzy's charity bowling event, Celebrities Strike Up a Cure, on Thursday night. Callahan won the celebrity bowling competition with a two game average of 188.5, just edging NBC Channel 4's sports director Rudy Kalis for the top score. Other celebrities included Tennessee Titans players and coaches & local news and sports broadcasters.

Sullivan bowled the high game among the Preds players with a 157 in his first game. Nichol posted the higest Game 2 score among the Preds players with a 154. Fiddler was the most improved with a 32 pin increase between his first and second game (101 to 133).

All proceeds from the event benefited The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
