Every week throughout Bridgestone Arena's Anniversary Season, we will celebrate the Arena's 15 year partnership with the Middle Tennessee community.

15th Anniversary Reflections: Showcase For Amateur Sports

Bridgestone Arena has provided an outlet to showcase the depth of amateur sports in the region, most notably hosting major college athletic events like last weekend's NCAA Tournament games. The Arena has also been a frequent stop for the SEC Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments as well as the OVC Basketball Tournaments. Additionally, Bridgestone Arena is home to high school sporting events and other amateur athletic events.

Brad Walker, Ohio Valley Conference
Brad Walker is the Associate Commissioner of the OVC; the OVC partnered with the Arena and Nashville Sports Council to host last weekend's NCAA Tournament Games in Nashville.

Fact Of The Week:

  • In 2010-11, almost 100 million viewers across America watched events broadcast from Bridgestone Arena, including events such as CMA Music Awards, CMA Country Christmas, college basketball, CMT Awards and NHL games.
