Arena's 15th Anniversary: Merging Music and Hockey

by Staff Writer / Nashville Predators
Every week throughout Bridgestone Arena's Anniversary Season, we will celebrate the Arena's 15 year partnership with the Middle Tennessee community.

15th Anniversary Reflections: Merging Music and Hockey

Bridgestone Arena has provided a unique opportunity for musicians and athletes to merge. The Arena's bandstage set up for NHL games provides artists and bands an opportunity for impromtu performances in the middle of hockey games (video), which has given rise to once-in-a-lifetime performances like Alice Cooper and Vince Gill rocking out to "Schools Out" or Gill providing backup for Carrie Underwood's "Cowboy Casanova" or live performances by Jo Dee Messina, Lee Greenwood, Sara Evans, Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson and others.

Mark Jones, Band Manager/Artist Manager
Mark Jones is a Manager with Spalding Entertainment which represents national acts like Jason Aldean (playing Bridgestone Arena tonight), Sara Evans, Rascal Flatts and Brooks & Dunn.

Fact Of The Week:

  • 4,020,858 fans have taken in concerts at Bridgestone Arena since the Arena first opened in December 1996, not counting the millions who have visited the Arena for family shows, Preds games, or other sporting events.
