Predators minor-league affiliate the Milwaukee Admirals split Games 3 and 4 of the American Hockey League's Calder Cup Finals with the Hershey Bears over the weekend, knotting the best-of-seven series at two games apiece. Game 5 is scheduled for Tuesday in Hershey.
After going 1-1 at home on June 2 and 3, Milwaukee returned from the week-long layoff to shut out the Bears 2-0 Saturday night. Goaltender Pekka Rinne stopped all 21 shots he faced while Darren Haydar and Simon Gamache each posted a goal and an assist.
Less than 24 hours later, Hershey jumped out to a 4-0 first-period lead, sending Rinne to the bench 9:14 into the game in favor of back-up goalie Brian Finley. Milwaukee cut the four-goal lead in half early in the second, as Haydar netted his league-leading 17th playoff goal and Scottie Upshall scored a power-play tally to make it 4-2. Former Admiral Kris Beech's goal 14:15 into the middle frame squashed hopes of an Ads comeback, then Hershey added two more in the third to win Sunday's game 7-2.
