700 Career Points for Mike Ribeiro

by Thomas Willis / Nashville Predators

In the third period of Saturday's contest against the New York Rangers, Nashville Predators forward Mike Ribeiro scored the Preds third goal of the afternoon, the game-winner, to register 700 career points.

The point total makes Ribeiro just the 221st player in NHL history to accomplish the feat; the forward also has the 143rd most assists in the League all-time. The center is the third ever player to skate for Nashville with 700 or more career points, joining Paul Kariya (989 pts) and Peter Forsberg (885 pts).

Signed as an unrestricted free agent this summer by the Nashville Predators, Ribeiro has centered the Preds top line and helped guide rookie Filip Forberg to set numerous franchise records as a first-year player. The 34-year-old stands as the Predators second leading-scorer with 44 points in 52 games this campaign and is now just three points shy of the total he hit in 80 games last season with the Arizona Coyotes.

Congratulations to Mike Ribeiro.
