The Nashville Predators Foundation recently announced four recipients of the Jack Diller Education Award. A total of $10,000 in college scholarships was awarded to the four students, who were selected from over 150 high school seniors who applied for the award. Applicants were required to meet the following criteria: Be a college-bound senior currently attending college in the Fall of 2007; display leadership qualities in the classroom and inspirational qualities on the athletic field; and demonstrate the value of education, good work ethic and community outreach. All candidates were nominated by either a teacher, coach or college counselor.

University of Tennessee, Chattanooga
The four students will be recognized at the April 5 Predators game in a presentation during the first intermission. This is the second year of the award, which is named in honor of Jack Diller, the first president in Nashville Predators franchise history. Diller, who retired in July 2005, is the current Chairman of the Predators Foundation.
