by Staff Writer / Pittsburgh Penguins
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Thanks to a 3-2 overtime win over the Hershey Bears and an 8-2 loss by the Norfolk Admirals against the Charlotte Checkers on Sunday, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have clinched the East Division regular-season title, guaranteeing the team home-ice advantage for at least the first two rounds of the 2011 Calder Cup Playoffs.

The Penguins’ East Division regular-season title is the third in team history, as this year’s team joins the 2006 and 2008 clubs.
The team also earned its 52nd victory of the season, breaking a franchise record for most wins in a single season registered by the 2005-06 (51-18-5-6) and 2006-07 (51-23-2-4) teams.
