Everyone here in Pittsburgh knows how dedicated Penguins fans are to their favorite team, but this year the rest of North America found out just "how" dedicated they actually are. Earlier this year, the NHL asked fans to vote for their favorite players to make the 2011 All Star Game in Raleigh, N.C., and four Penguins were voted into the top-six overall. Although Sidney Crosby
and Evgeni Malkin
were unable to attend, Marc-Andre Fleury
and Kris Letang
were willing and able to play in their first-ever All-Star Game.
To celebrate this remarkable achievement, FSN Pittsburgh will produce a half-hour show titled "TO RALEIGH WITH THE PENS: PRESENTED BY MCDONALDS". Dan Potash followed the Penguins' All-Star entourage every step of the way -- from the player "draft", through the skills competition, to the actual game itself.
Tune in Thursday, Feburary 3 at 6:30pm only on FSN Pittsburgh.
