Through the FANS Pens vs. Flyers (Game 1 - 4/11/12)

The Consol Energy Center was ready for its second-ever post season. The Penguins were ready to take on their state-rivials the Flyers for the sixth time in the Playoffs. And Fans, Fans were taking over with the opportuntity to "White" out the Flyers in the first game of the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The First Period light up Consol inside and out as the Penguins started off the series with a 3-0 lead. Goals from Sidney Crosby, Tyler Kennedy and Pascal Dupuis:

Both of tonight's starting goal tenders already hold one Stanley Cup ring, and attracted fan attention after the second period ended with the Penguins up 3-1:

Aside from the captivating action, fans gathered outside at the #PensBigScreen in its new location, and filled the audience in White Out gear to support their team.

Outside, dedicated Penguins supporters braved the rain, sunshine, wind, and mixture of other elements to catch Game1. Contests and guests from 96.1 entertained the crowd, and the first three period goals coerced some cheers. The view from outside as fans funneled in front of the big screen:

After a comeback from Philadelphia ties the game at 3, Game one is decided by overtime and goes to the Flyers off the stick of Jakub Voracek. Game Two will take place also at the Consol Energy Center, Friday night at  7:30p.m.
