Through the FANS Pens v. Panthers (3/9/12)

by Staff Writer / Pittsburgh Penguins

Facing their third opponent on home ice this week, the Pittsburgh Penguins saw their fourth and final season match up against the Florida Panthers. Seeded atop the Southwest Division, the Panthers struck first taking a 1-0 lead in the second.

Just as some fans begin to express despair, it's #26 Steve Sullivan on the breakaway who ties the contest at 1 in the third period:

"Steve Sullivan has been unbelievable lately. Not so sure how that went in, but the #Pens tie it up 1-1." --@Peejlewiz

But the game had to be decided in a shootout. With goals from James Neal and then Evgeni Malkin, the Penguins claim their eighth straight win.
