TALBOT'S GOAL GIVES BABY PENGUINS A 1-0 WIN AT BRIDGEPORT

by Staff Writer / Pittsburgh Penguins

Max Talbot’s goal Tuesday night gave the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Baby Penguins a 1-0 win at Bridgeport.

More importantly – it gave the Baby Penguins a fresh start in their AHL playoff series with the Sound Tigers. Both teams are now 2-2 in the best-of-seven series, which moves to Wilkes-Barre for a Wednesday night contest.

Jonathan Filewich and Ryan Stone assisted on Talbot’s goal, which came with 43 seconds remaining in the second period.

The goal stood as Dany Sabourin turned away all 33 shots he faced to earn the shutout win in net for the Baby Penguins.

Game 6 is in Bridgeport on Friday. If a Game 7 is necessary, it will take place Saturday in Wilkes-Barre.
