Max is back Sunday.
Maxime Talbot will return to the Penguins’ lineup Sunday night for Game 2 against the Philadelphia Flyers at Mellon Arena.
Talbot injured his foot blocking a shot against the Rangers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. He missed the final two games of that series and Game 1 against Philadelphia.
The energetic and scrappy Talbot returned to practice Saturday with his teammates and took the ice once again Sunday morning.
“It feels great. I am ready to go and I am pretty happy about that,” he said. “It feels good enough to play. I am ready to move on and just try to help the guys. I feel fortunate I am going to be out there.”
Sidney Crosby and the Penguins are happy to have Talbot back in the lineup.
“I am sure he will be excited to get back out there, and on our penalty kill he's a big part of that,” he said. “He's an energy guy, so I think we all expect him just to provide a lot of energy for us. He has got some offensive skills as well, and he can create things out there, but I'd say energy is a big part of his game.”
