Max could be back.
Penguins center Maxime Talbot could return to Pittsburgh’s lineup on Sunday for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Flyers at Mellon Arena.
Talbot injured his foot blocking a shot against the Rangers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. He missed the final two games of that series and Game 1 against Philadelphia.
The energetic and scrappy Talbot returned to practice Saturday with his teammates, which was a positive sign for the Penguins on his potential return to the lineup.
“We'll see [Sunday]. He looked pretty good [Saturday],” Penguins coach Michel Therrien said. “We'll go through the morning skate and make a decision. We're going to sit down with him and see how he feels. But it's nice to see him back practicing with the boys.”
