The Penguins (7-3) captured their fifth-straight win Wednesday night. The last time they won six games in a row was during the 2001-02 season from Jan. 17-26, 2002. In addition, the Penguins can post their fifth-straight road triumph since a five-game span in 1997 from Nov. 15-Dec. 10.

Penguins rookie Evgeni Malkin, the NHL Rookie of the Month for October, can extend his goals-scored streak to seven games. Likewise, teammate Sidney Crosby is riding a five-game points streak. He has four goals and eight assists in that span and has risen near the top of the NHL scoring leaders.

The Penguins conclude their West Coast trip Monday night in Anaheim. They return home to face the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday at Mellon Arena. All fans in attendance will receive a Mario Lemieux career achievements coin.
