10:34 PM: The clock expires and the Pens defeat the Red Wings 2-1 to force this series into a Game 7!

10:32 PM: The Wings pull Osgood.

10:31 PM: Fleury saves the game with a glove save that robs Cleary on a point blank shot! 

10:29 PM: Malkin steals the puck off of Datsyuk and skates it to the other end.

10:28 PM: The arena is shrouded in one single "Lets Go Pens" chant.

10:25 PM: Guerin steps out of the box and carries the puck up ice into Detroit's end. He sets up Kunitz with a pass that goes wide. The Pens attempt to bat in several chances in front of the net but Osgood eventually covers the puck.

10:25 PM: The Pens kill off the penalty to Guerin with help from Gonchar and Gill. 

10:20 PM: Guerin now goes to the box high sticking Draper.

10:18 PM: The Pens kill off the penalty to Mallkin.

10:17 PM: Scuderi scoops a loose puck out of the crease.

10:15 PM: Malkin goes to the box for cross checking.

10:13 PM: Draper wrists in a rebounded shot from the slot to put the Red WIngs on the board. Penguins 2, Red Wimgs 1.

10:11 PM: Fleury skates out to glove down a Samuelsson lob-shot.

10:10 PM: Crosby skates into Detroit's zone and wrists a chance wide of the net.

10:07 PM: Tyler Kennedy scores! Talbot dished the puck to Kennedy behind Detroit's net and Kennedy wrapped it around flipped a shot across the net and over Osgood's glove for the goal. Penguins 2, Red Wings 0.

10:04 PM: Fleury makes three consecutive saves as the Pens clear the puck up ice.

9:58 PM: Here goes the third period.

9:43 PM: Numbers to note:
-The Pens again outshot the Wings, this time 12-9. Shots favor the Pens 24-12 overall.
-The Pens are outhitting Detroit 23-15.
-The Pens faceoff percent is 53% so far in the game.
-Staal and Kennedy each have three shots in the game but Guerin still leads with six.

9:41 PM: The second period ends.

9:40 PM: Fedotenko has a killer scoring chance but Osgood deflects it with his stick. Moments later Makin has a chance that Osgood turns aside.

9:38 PM: Zetterberg wrists a shot past Fleury but it bounces off of the post and Fleury covers it up.

9:34 PM: Guerin and Staal work the puck into Detroit's end but Osgood covers it.

9:30 PM: The Pens take a long turn playing defense in their own end, but Malkin finally clears it.

9:22 PM: Orpik lays out to block a Samuelsson shot.

9:19 PM: Kennedy, Cooke and Staal have another great shift starting with Kennedy stealing the puck away from Detroit.

9:16 PM: Fedotenko snaps off a speedy one-time shot but Osgood covers it up.

9:08 PM: The Pens are finally rewarded for their hard work with a goal. Staal poked the puck past Filppula along the far boards and skated into Detroit's zone. He launched a shot, scooped up his own rebound and flicked it past Osgood. Penguins 1, Red Wings 0.

9:05 PM: The second period begins.

8:49 PM: Numbers to note:
-The game is scoreless after 20 minutes of play.
-The Pens outshot the Wings 12-3 in the period.
-The Pens outhit the Wings, 11-8.
-Guerin leads the game in shots with five. Zetterberg has two of Detroit's three shots.

8:47 PM: The first period expires. That was some seriously intense hockey!

8:43 PM: Fleury shuts the door on Zetterberg who launched a shot from right in front of the net.

8:42 PM: Eaton launches a point-shot just wide of the net.

8:40 PM: The penalty expires.

8:35 PM: Filppula trips with Guerin and the Pens go on the power play again.

8:32 PM: Malkin sets up Fedotenko with a great chance but Osgood makes the save.

8:24 PM: Sykora takes the ice for his first shift of the game, meanwhile the power play expires.

8:23 PM: Guerin, Malkin and Crosby are persistent around the net and earn several power-play chances but no luck so far.

8:20 PM: Fleury denies a Zetterberg shot point blank with a spectacular stick save, moments later Zetterberg knocked Fleury to the ice and received an interference penalty.

8:17 PM: Crosby picks up a rebounded shot behind Detroit's net and has a chance in the slot but Osgood brushes the puck away.

8:16 PM: Crosby, Guerin and Malkin take a shift together.

8:14 PM: The Cooke, Staal, Kennedy line takes the opening faceoff.

8:11 PM: The crowd are behind their netminder as they chant "Fleury! Fleury!" One fan holds up a poster that says "Not Osgood as Fleury."

8:08 PM: The fans here are ready for a monumental game. They are on their feet as they vehemently welcome the Pens to ice.

8:04 PM: Miro Satan will sit this one out and Sykora will skate in his place. Other scratches for Pittsburgh are forwards Mike Zigomanis and Eric Godard and defensemen Alex Goligoski and Philippe Boucher.

Scratches for Detroit are Justin Abdelkader, Derek Meech, Ville Leino, Chris Chelios, Darren McCartey, Aaron Downey, Jakub Kindl and Jimmy Howard.

8:02 PM: It's official Sykora is in.

7:57 PM: We are quickly approaching game time. The big question for the Penguins tonight is whether or not forward Petr Sykora will be in the lineup. We'll know soon.
