Due to an overwhelming demand for tickets, the Pittsburgh Penguins “Skates & Plates” Presented by Alcoa charity gala has sold out.
Penguins’ players will be passing plates instead of pucks for the sold out crowd on Thursday, March 13 at the Carnegie Music Hall as they host the inaugural “Skates & Plates” gala presented by Alcoa.
Proceeds benefit the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The entire Penguins team is featured at the event as they serve as waiters for the evening, greeting guests, serving meals and collecting tips for the Foundation. The event also includes silent and live auctions.
Since 1986, the Penguins have raised over $4.3 million for research into finding a cure for cystic fibrosis.
