The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forwards Conor Sheary and Scott Wilson from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
Sheary, 23, has two goals and one assist in 16 games with Pittsburgh in 2015-16.
The 5-foot-8, 175-pound Sheary leads WBS and ranks tied for second in the AHL with 29 assists. His 36 points (7G-29A) are tied with Wilson for the team lead.
The Melrose, Massachusetts native posted three assists in two games since being sent down on Jan. 27. Sheary also has a nine-game AHL point streak (2G-13A-15PTS).
Wilson, 23, has one assist in five games with Pittsburgh this season.
The 5-foot-11, 183-pound Wilson leads the AHL in goals with 22 in 34 games.
The Oakville, Ontario native scored twice in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s 5-3 loss to Lehigh Valley on Saturday night.
The WBS Penguins currently sit in first place in the AHL's Atlantic Division with 60 points (29-13-1-1) at the AHL All-Star Break.
