How long have you been following the Pens and how did you become a fan?
Growing up in a small town in Virginia, I had never been exposed to much hockey. In high school, I met my now husband who was an ice hockey player and was born in Pittsburgh. He introduced me to the sport and through him I discovered a passion for the sport and in particular, this organization. Since then, we've made countless trips up to Pittsburgh to go to training camp, attend games and have even braved Capitals fans to watch the Pens when they're a little closer to home!
Who is your favorite Penguins player (past or present)?
Tell us about your favorite Penguins memory.
It's hard to pick just one, but I'll go with the night the Penguins won the Stanley Cup in 2009. My husband and I were newly married and had some family over to watch the game with us. As the final few seconds ticked away and Fleury threw his gloves in the air as the buzzer went off, our house erupted into chaos. We had people outside running laps in the yard, people hugging and crying in the kitchen, and others watching the final moments of the game over and over in the living room. People stayed for hours after the end of the game celebrating!

On game day I usually make a huge effort to bring Pittsburgh to Virginia. We get all dressed up in our favorite Pens gear and feast on Primanti Bros style sandwiches. We usually have other friends over and there is never a shortage of shouting, cheering or pacing back and forth!
