Here was the Pens had to say about their matchup against Matt Cullen and the Minnesota Wild…
On playing his former team: "It's unique and special seeing these guys. What we went through last couple of years is pretty unique. It makes it different than playing another former team."
On which jerseys his kids will wear tonight: "I don't know. I'm staying out of that one."
On his decision to come home: "This is where I'm from. The opportunity to finish here is great. It was a difficult decision. I put a lot of time into it. There's no rulebook to follow on this. All you do is listen to your gut."
On returning: "Just to play in front of family and friends is going to be special. I'm going to enjoy it and suck it all in."
On playing in Minny last year: "I don't really remember much. You're just coming up for your first time and you get to play in your home state. I was really nervous, but there aren't nerves now. You're just excited to get going."
On his father's influence: "I wouldn't be here without him. The knowledge that he has and the things that he sees, you don't really notice. I'm pretty lucky to have him."
On Cullen: "Everyone thinks highly of Cullen, myself included. He's a terrific person. He's got a great family. He's a great teammate. He's a terrific player. He was so instrumental in helping this team have success over the last two seasons."
On losing twice to Minnesota last year: "We watched bits and pieces of (the games). It was so early in the season last year. We played them in the first 20 games. I feel we grew a lot as a hockey team over the course of the season."
On the Wild: "We have a lot of respect for them. We're very familiar with their personnel. We realize they have a few injuries, as do we. But they still have some very capable people."
