Here's what the Pens had to say about tonight's game against the Nashville Predators…
ON BREAKING UP HBK
Bonino on breaking up HBK: "It's frustrating when the puck doesn't go in. We had our chances, especially those first three games. The last two we got away from our game a bit. The puck goes in and sometimes the puck doesn't. We went on a pretty good tear last year, but you gotta expect the ups and downs. You don't score in five games there are going to be some changes. Whatever the lineup is tonight we'll go out there and work hard."
Sullivan on breaking up HBK: "We're trying as a coaching staff to look at the big picture. It's not just about one line, it's about the group and what combinations are the best to make us harder to play against, that gives us balance throughout our lineup, and we're trying to put combinations together that compliment one another."
ODDS AND ENDS
Maatta on his health: "It was precautionary. I'm all good. No problems. Good to go today."
Warsofsky on his opportunity: "When you get called back up it's a good feeling. This is something to take advantage of tonight."
Sullivan on defending Nashville's power play: "Their power play has the ability to be a difference-maker for their group. When you look at their personnel, they're a shooting power play. They have some dangerous one-timers, Subban is one, Josi can shoot. They've got some guys that can really pound the puck. Everything stems off of that. I think our discipline is going to be real important tonight."
