Here is what the Pens are saying about the tonight's game against Toronto.
ON THE MAPLE LEAFS
Bonino: "They have a lot of youth and speed, a lot of energy. They revamped their whole lineup. They have a new direction. They've won 4 of the last 5. They're a good team."
Fehr: "We're expecting a game a lot like the Edmonton game, really high pace, some young guys showing off some skill. They have some good players over there that had a good start to the season. So it's going to be important for us to be ready for the game."
Daley: "They're a good, young team. It will be a good challenge for us tonight. Their special teams have been good. I think they've been good lately. We're looking forward to it."
Hagelin: "First of all, they have a lot of speed. You can see all their young guys bring a lot of speed and a lot of skill. They like to play an offensive game, so I think for us it's important to spend as much time as possible in their end. I think that's where they can have difficulties. Any time you're a young player in the league, that's the toughest part to learn, how to play D. So if we can spend a lot of time in their zone, we should have a good chance."
ON IT BEING A YOUNG MAN'S GAME
Sullivan: "There is a crop of young players that have come into the league over the last couple of years that are really good players. They're having impacts on their respective teams because of their talent level and how good they are. The way the game is evolving it's becoming more and more a young man's game with the speed of the game and how it's being played."
Crosby: "It brings excitement. Everybody watches a little closer because of those guys. Seeing them have an impact for there is good for the league."
Bonino: "Look around the league. Every young guy is scoring goals. It's impressive. It's getting younger and younger. It's really good for the game."
Fehr: "This is the most amount of rookies I've seen in the league at one time. They're making a difference, which is great for the league. It brings a lot of energy and the fans are interested to see how these guys will play."
ON PHIL KESSEL
Bonino: "He's a great guy. He's well liked in the locker room. Every team he's played on the guys have loved him. We're happy to have him. He's a true pro. He played a big part in our winning last year. Everyone is happy that he's here."
Fehr: "He's as good of a passer as he is a shooter. It does get overlooked at times because of how good his shot is. He's definitely shown us that he can shoot and pass really well. He can really do it all. He's a real utility guy out there. He's a well-liked guy in this room. We have a lot of fun with him."
Hagelin: "I don't know if he's underrated throughout the league. I know in this locker room everyone knows what he can do with the puck and the type of player he is. His play-making abilities, just from playing with him last year, you understand how good of a passer he is. He shows that on the PP right now, he's making a lot of great passes."
