Here's what the Pens had to say heading into their contest in Winnipeg against the Jets.
ON THE LAST GAME VS. WINNIPEG
Sullivan: "(Expect) more of the same. Winnipeg is a physical team. They've got good size. They skate well. That's part of the identity of their group. Our players are aware of what to expect and the type of game that's going to be played. Our challenge is to find a way to be successful."
Sheary: "That was a physical game and a close game. I think it'll be physical tonight, but I don't think any more than usual."
ON THE JETS' PHYSICAL PLAY
Sullivan: "Regardless of what our strategy is or how we play, the most important thing is that we don't try to play somebody else's game, that we play ours. That's been our mentality and mindset this whole season. We've got to make sure that we stay focused, fight through the traffic, fight through the physical play and keep our eye on the right ball, and that's making sure we win the game."
Sheary: "We'll stick with what we know. We're good at playing down low in the corners and making plays out of the corner. We can't worry too much about what they're doing, just more about what we're going to do."
ON THE ATMOSPHERE AT MTS CENTRE
Schultz: "They're right on top of you all game. It's not as many seats as a normal NHL rink. It's definitely the loudest in the league. It gets crazy in there."
Sullivan: "It's a great atmosphere. This building always has great energy. They're very supportive fans. It's a fun place to play. It will be a lively game. Winnipeg, in my experience playing here, always has strong starts. I think their fanbase has a lot to do with that with the energy that's in the building."
ODDS AND ENDS
Crosby on the road trip: "It's a good test for us. We're playing some good teams on this trip and some desperate teams that are fighting for playoffs. We need to be at our best. Road games are where we want to improve upon, looking at how we've done all year. This will be a good challenge for us."
Sestito on his role: "I'm just going to play my game. Get the puck in deep and play the body. It's a role I've had my whole career. I know one way to play. If it's a physical team or not, I play the same way every game."
Sullivan on Sestito's recall: "Tommy's played extremely well in Wilkes-Barre for us. He's played a number of games for us this year. He certainly brings a physical element to our team. He's a good teammate. Our guys enjoy him. He's a guy that we think can help us win."
