Quote Roundup: Pens-Bruins

by Sam Kasan @PensInsideScoop / Pittsburgh Penguins

Here's what the Pens had to say yesterday prior to their afternoon contest against the Bruins.

ON THE 3-GAME WINNING STREAK

Sullivan: "We've been encouraged with the way our team is trending right now because I think we're becoming a much more difficult team to play against. We're getting contributions throughout our lineup. We're not trying to outscore teams. We're just trying to play the game the right way."

Hornqvist: "It was huge. It started with the Washington game. That was a big win for us and that got our group in the right direction."

Daley: "We are a confident group in here. There will be adversity along the way and bumps in the road, but it's how we respond. We lose 3, but we come back and win 3. That's been our way since I've known."

ON THE BRUINS

Sullivan: "This Bruins team is a good hockey team. They have good players. They have good people. They're very well coached. They're a competitive group. We have a lot of respect for the Bruins. They're a very well-coached team. I expect a hard-fought game. We're going to do everything we can to try and dictate the terms."

Daley: "Boston is always tough to play against. They're well coached. They're structure is really good. They play a 200-foot game in both ends. Their goalie is good. It's going to be a tough task for us."

Wilson: "They're heavy. They're physical. They're really structured defensively. For our sake we're going to try and shut them down."

ODDS AND ENDS

Wilson on his health: "I landed awkwardly. There was a little bit of pain at the beginning the score being what it was (7-0 Pens' lead) I didn't think there was any need to force me back in there. I felt great (Saturday) morning. I was shocked at how good I felt and I'll be ready to go."

Dumoulin on is jaw protector: "It takes some getting used to. It's good that I've been able to skate with it for a while now, but I can't wait to get that thing off."

Hornqvist on Cam Ward's blocker punch: "It was a 6-1 game and we just scored. I poked him. He was probably frustrated. It's just part of the game."
