Quote Roundup: Pens-Bolts

by Sam Kasan @PensInsideScoop / Pittsburgh Penguins

Here's what the Pens had to say about their contest tonight against Tampa Bay.

"I feel really good. I'm a game-time decision for tonight. We'll see how it goes. I've been getting contact the last couple of days so it feels pretty good."

"I had a warm welcome. Everybody is super nice. You can tell it's a great organization and franchise. It's a smooth transition so far. You know the guys from playing against them and you know hockey, all the guys are great. It's a quick turnaround to join a new team. It's been fun, but I'm really excited for tonight to get going. I'm really happy I ended up here."

Sullivan: "We have so much respect for their team. They're dangerous offensively. They have a great transition game. They have a quick-strike capability to their game. They don't need a lot of chances to convert because of some of the talent that they have. And they're playing good hockey right now."

Hagelin: "You have to try to stay out of the box as much as possible. For us, we have to be aggressive and make sure we don't give them too much time in our end because then they're going to pick us apart."

Wilson: "They're feeling it right now. We need to come out good at the beginning of the game and try to continue to make a full 60 effort."

Crosby: "As far as what we need to change, I don't think we need to change a whole lot. We generated some great chances. For the most part we've done some good things. So we need to build off of that."

Sullivan on combos and D pairs: "We are fortunate that we have some versatile people. We have guys that can move up and down the lineup. They can play both sides. We're trying to find the best combinations that we have at our disposal to field the most competitive group. Moving forward, as we get healthy we'd like to try to establish some consistency with our line combinations."

Crosby on Streit: "He's really steady, makes a good first pass, he's a good skater. He's played in the league for a long time, so he's got a lot of experience, played on a lot of power plays. He brings a lot to our team."

Hagelin on his line with Malkin and Hornqvist: "The last 2 games have been good. We played hard. We're doing a lot of good things in the offensive zone. We have to make sure we score on our chances and backcheck hard so we don't give up any odd-man rushes."
