: It was a real challenge for me to sit in the locker room and watch the team play night after night. I did a lot of exercising and working with strength and conditioning coach Mike Kadar to get back on the ice as quickly as possible, but to be honest - I couldn't wait to get back out there! What do you eat before a game?Submitted by Lisa S. via Email
: Haha, I like to have some sort of protein before a game, so I usually stick to either a chicken breast or protein shake. I have been known to throw in a couple candy bars right before taking the ice, though that's probably not the most healthy option. How often do you skate during the off-season?Submitted by Alexander M. via Facebook
: Oh man, probably not as much as I should. I usually spend the first month or two just relaxing after the season, catching up on family time and all of that. I do a lot of cross-training as well, working on running and riding my bike. I usually try to skate at least once a week two months out, and then work up to three or four times a week during the final month before pre-season starts.
