LA gets on the board cashing in on a 2 on 1. The Pens continue to take penalties late in this game.

Section A12 wins the tshirt texting contest. The Pens Patrol will be tossing tshirts to their section in the third period.

Its almost the 2nd intermission. I have to get ready to moderate the incoming text messages that will scroll across the jumbotron during intermission.

I just had to run down to the lower level to check on a promotion that we are running tonight and in the meantime I missed two goals! Kennedy and Guerin give the Pens a 4-0 lead.

The Pens are really hitting their stride right now.

LA looks tired. Even though the shots are close right now, the Pens have had the stronger of the play.

Just as the Pens kill off the last penalty they take another as Mark Eaton shot the puck out of play earning a delay of game penalty.

Its surprising that the schedulemakers gave the Kings a long cross-country road trip so late in the season.

No winner in the on-ice fan contest. 2 fans got to roll giant foam dice, trying to get a 7 or an 11 to win a prize. No dice.

Another power play for the Pens...GOAL. 2-0. Sid with a great pass to Geno on the doorstep. The play was kept alive by a great play by Sergei Gonchar to keep the puck in the zone.

UNREAL goal Sid. 1-0 Pens. Sid stole a pass in the Kings zone and fired a backhand shot into the top corner of the goal. Wow.

4 High school hockey players are being honored for being February's top players. The Penguins Cup playoffs continue at Mellon Arena on Monday and Tuesday.

Fedotenko gets pulled down on a near-breakaway. Closte to being a penalty shot situation. Pens on the PP.

A moment of silence is being held in honor of Pens Hall of Fame organist Vince Laschied, who passed away at age 85.

Sarah Marince is performing the national anthem.

The crowd is going crazy as the Penguins take the ice. The pregame festivities included a very cool video animation sequence projected onto the ice.
