5:45 PM: That's the final buzzer and the Penguins beat the Flyers 5-3 to win the best-of-seven series, 4-2. What a game to close out the series. The Penguins outshot the Flyers 35-25 in the game. Malkin was named first star of the game for his outstanding efforts.

5:44 PM: With 27.3 seconds left in the game, Crosby scores an empty-net goal to up the Penguins' lead to 5-3. Penguins 5, Flyers 3.

5:43 PM: The Flyers call a timeout with 42.7 seconds left.

5:42 PM: The Flyers pull Biron for the last minute of the game.

5:12 PM: Malkin and Gonchar come through with a brilliant goal that yields the Penguins their first lead of the game. Malkin carried the puck into the Flyers' zone and left it for Gonchar who launched a shot past Biron. Penguins 4, Flyers 3.

5:08 PM: Here goes the third period - which is bound to be intense.

4:52 PM: That concludes the second period and the Penguins managed to dig themselves out of a three-goal deficit in the frame. The score is tied at 3-3 but the Penguins outshot the Flyers, 20-9, in the second period.

4:46 PM: The Penguins tie the score at 3-3! Guerin carried the puck in over the blue line and down the near side where he launched a shot on goal. Meanwhile Crosby skated hard to the net and was there to bat in Guerin's rebound. Penguins 3, Flyers 3.

4:26 PM: Mark Eaton scores for the Penguins! Fedotenko passed the puck to Kennedy at the near half wall and Kennedy wristed a shot on Biron. Eaton pinched in and was in front of the net to bat in Kennedy's rebound. Flyers 3, Penguins 2.

4:19 PM: Fedotenko puts the Penguins on the board with a hard-fought goal. Malkin carried it into the Flyers' zone and in behind their net. Malkin changed direction behind the net and whipped a shot off. Fedotenko then poked in Malkin's rebound for the goal. Flyers 3, Penguins 1.

4:18 PM: Carcillo and Talbot spar at center ice.

4:16 PM: Briere wrists a shot past Fleruy's glove side for a power-play goal. Flyers 3, Pens 0.

4:09 PM: The second period begins and Crosby charges into the zone, trying to get the offense started for the Penguins.

3:54 PM: The first period concludes with the Flyers netting a late two-goal lead in the period.

3:51 PM: Lupul pounds a shot past Fleury to up the Flyers' lead to 2-0. Flyers 2, Penguins 0.

3:49 PM: The Flyers net the first point of the game when Richards gained possession inside the Penguins' blue line and took a shot. Knuble one-timed the rebound past Fleury. Flyers 1, Penguins 0.

3:44 PM: Shots are tied at 6-6 so far in the game.

3:26 PM: It looks like Max Talbot is playing on a line with Fedotenko and Malkin. Satan is playing with Dupuis and Adams. Letang is paired with Eaton on defense.

3:19 PM: The puck drops and the action gets underway.

3:11 PM: The Penguins have switched up the roster a little bit this afternoon, scratching forwards Petr Sykora and Eric Godard and defenseman Philippe Boucher. The Flyers have again scratched forward Riley Cote and defenseman Luca Sbisa.

3:05 PM: Here we are, Game 6 on the horizon, and the Penguins are confident that they can beat out the Flyers this afternoon in Philadelphia.
