8:06 PM: Crosby returns from the locker room.

8:10 PM: Rob Scuderi goes down to block a shot and takes a puck in the face. That's what I call taking one for the team. Scuderi heads to the locker room.

8:33 PM: The second period commences. Shots so far this game are tied at 11-11.

8:35 PM: The Capitals tie the score 1-1. Backstrom passed the puck to Kozlov who shot the puck in behind Fleury.

8:44 PM: After taking a puck in the face during the first period of play, Rob Scuderi headed to the locker room and his return to the game is doubtful at this point.

8:54 PM: The Capitals score. Semin puts the puck in the upper-right-shelf.

9:07 PM:
The Caps get an opportunity to take the lead with Cooke and Gill both in the box. The Penguins hold the Caps off until the end of the period. They will go into the third period with one-minute left to kill on Gill's slashing penalty.

9:27 PM: The third period begins with the Pens on the PK. Orpik gets two-minutes for tripping and the Caps get another five-on-three advantage.

9:29 PM: The Caps score on the power play opportunity. Alex Ovechkin gets a rebound past Fleury.

Capitals 3, Penguins 2.

9:30 PM:
Max Talbot left for the locker room.

The Capitals score on the power play. Ovechkin took a shot form the bottom of the near circle which Fleury stopped but Thomas Fleischmann slipped the rebound past.

Capitals 4, Penguins 3.

9:49 PM:
We have learned from the Penguins that Talbot will most likely not be returning to the game.

9:50 PM: Capitals score. Ovechkin banked in a shot off of Whitney's skate. There's still eight minutes left in the game. Hopefully the Penguins' offense can work their magic.

Capitals 5, Penguins 3.

The Pens go on the power play with six-minutes left in the game. Time to head down to the locker room for interviews. Hopefully the Pens can pull this one out.
