Young defensemen Kris Letang and Alex Goligoski had two points each to lead the Penguins to a 3-2 pre-season victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning Monday night in Tampa.

Taking over offensive responsibilities on the blue line, Letang had a goal and an assist and Goligoski chipped in two assists

Max Talbot and Tyler Kennedy also scored goals for the Penguins.
Kennedy got the game-winner in the third period, breaking a 2-2 deadlock on a power play, with assists from Letang and Goligoski.

Earlier, newcomers Ruslan Fedotenko and Bill Thomas assisted on Talbot's goal.
The Penguins evened their pre-season record at 1-1, despite playing without many of their top players - including Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin. Jordan Staal, Marc-Andre Fleury and Miroslav Satan.

Dany Sabourin and John Curry split the goaltending duties.
