Fans are invited to wear their best '80s-inspired attire when the Penguins hold their third annual '80s Theme Night on Thursday, January 2 against San Jose at PPG Paints Arena.
It will be the first of two theme nights in January as the Penguins open the 2020 portion of their season.
The Pens will host the first-ever Pittsburgh. Theme Night at the January 14 game against Minnesota, featuring The Clarks and celebrating "all things Pittsburgh."
"Theme Nights have been very popular among our fans, so we're bringing back a familiar favorite in '80s Night, then following that up with something new in Pittsburgh Night," said James Santilli, the Penguins' Senior Vice President of Marketing. "We're receiving great support from the Heinz History Center and other local institutions as we try to create more fun experiences for our fans."
Among the highlights of '80s Night will be green-screen photo opportunities of movie scenes from The Breakfast Club and Back to The Future; arcade games from throughout the decade; special vehicles from Ghostbusters; and '80s music by the band Ferris Bueller's Revenge.
