Pens Take On Lightning, Malone

The Penguins will play their second pre-season game tonight against the Tampa Bay Lightning in Tampa, and they may see some very familiar faces on the opposing team.

Former Penguins Ryan Malone, Mark Recchi, Gary Roberts and Adam Hall all signed with Tampa Bay in the off-season, and this will be the Lightning’s first game on home ice under new ownership following a busy off-season.

Meanwhile, one of the newest Penguins, Ruslan Fedotenko, will be making his first appearance in a Penguins uniform tonight. Fedetonko was part of Tampa Bay’s Stanley Cup championship team in 2004.

In addition to Fedotenko, the Penguins’ lineup tonight will included forwards Janne Pesonen, Ryan Stone, Paul Bissonnette, Max Talbot, Jeff Taffe, Kris Beech, Adam Henrich, Bill Thomas, Tyler Kennedy, Eric Godard and Aaron Boogaard; defensemen Mark Eaton, Hal Gill, Danny Richmond, Kris Letang, Deryk Engelland and Alex Goligoski; and goaltenders Dany Sabourin and John Curry.

Penguins radio analyst Phil Bourque will be providing podcast updates from Tampa Bay Monday night on He will have a pre-game report, updates after the first and second periods, and a post-game report. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
