Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned defenseman Alain Nasreddine and forward Jonathan Filewich to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL), it was announced Sunday by Executive Vice President and General Manager Ray Shero
Nasreddine was recalled on Jan. 28 and appeared in two games for the Penguins. During his first stint with the team this season, he played in four games before being reassigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on November 13th. He appeared in 44 games for the club during the 2006-07 season, collecting five points (one goal, four assists) and ranking second on the team with a plus-12 rating. In 33 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season, Nasreddine has scored eight points (four goals, four assists).
Filewich played in five games since being recalled on Jan. 20. He made his NHL debut on January 21st vs. Washington. Filewich has played in 37 games for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and tallied 17 points (seven goals, 10 assists). He has recorded 10 points (five goals, five assists) over his past 15 games with the team. Filewich was originally selected by the Penguins in the third round (70th overall) in the 2003 Entry Draft.
