Pens Recall Stone, Lannon

The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Ryan Lannon and center Ryan Stone from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, it was announced Monday by Executive Vice President/General Manager Ray Shero.

Lannon has nine points (2+7) and a plus-six rating in 35 games played this season. The 6-1, 198 pound defenseman has tallied 38 points (4+34), a plus-24 rating and 157 penalty minutes in 177 games played with the AHL Penguins.

The Worchester, Mass., native was selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the eighth round (239th overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

Stone has appeared in 34 games this season for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, recording 19 points (7+12) and 69 penalty minutes. The 6-2, 207 pound native of Calgary has posted 88 points (28+60) and 264 penalty minutes in 150 games with the AHL Penguins.

Stone was selected by Pittsburgh in the second round (32nd overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
