The Pittsburgh Penguins hope to help "Paint The Town Green" when they host the New Jersey Devils at PPG Paints Arena on St. Patrick's Day. Game time on Friday is 7 p.m.
Among the team's "green" initiatives:
- All fans in attendance will receive green St. Patrick's Day shirts, courtesy of 7-Up.
- Penguins players will wear green jerseys for the pre-game warmup. The jerseys will be autographed and auctioned at www.bidpal.net/lucky (the auction will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday and run through March 30). All proceeds from the auction benefit the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation. Follow the Penguins social media platforms for more details.
- The word "PAINTS" in the PPG Paints Arena sign at the Trib Total Media gate will be illuminated in green.
- Fans in attendance may take part in a "Luck of the Irish" 50-50 raffle. Fans can double their chance to win in the Penguins' regular game-night raffle - because a $20 ticket on St. Patrick's Day will get them 80 numbers instead of 40. As always, all proceeds benefit the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation.
