Pens Holiday Power Skating Camp

World-class power skating coach Besa Tsintsadze will be the featured instructor at the Pittsburgh Penguins Holiday Power Skating Camp for youngsters 5-17. The camp will be held Dec. 26-28 at Iceoplex at Southpointe and Mellon Arena.


Penguins assistant coach Mike Yeo also will oversee on-ice hockey drills for the young campers. And all camp participants will attend a Pittsburgh Penguins practice on Dec. 28 at Mellon Arena.

Tsintsadze has worked with the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and many other professional hockey players in recent years. A native of the Republic of Georgia, he represented his country in three World and European Championships and claimed the national title six times in his career. He arrived in the United States in 1997 to perform as the principal skater with “Disney on Ice.”
