by Staff Writer / Pittsburgh Penguins

The Pittsburgh Penguins close out their pre-Olympic schedule Saturday at 7 p.m. in Washington against the Capitals.

FSN Pittsburgh will televise the contest at 7 p.m., while 3WS (94.5 FM) will start its radio broadcast with a pregame show at 6:30 p.m. The broadcast may be found live through streaming audio on pittsburghpenguins.com as well. Tune in for Penguins Hotline following every game on 3WS and the Penguins Radio Network. Join in the conversation with host Bob Grove by calling the Penn Telecom toll-free line at 1-866-922-2874.

The game will be the third head-to-head meeting between the NHL’s top two rookies – Pittsburgh’s Sidney Crosby and Washington’s Alexander Ovechkin.

Crosby and the Penguins posted a 5-4 win over the Capitals on Nov. 22 and an 8-1 rout on Jan. 25. While Ovechkin leads Crosby in scoring, 68-63, Crosby dominates the head-to-head scoring, 6-2.

The Penguins (13-34-11) are coming off a 4-3 upset of the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday night. Carolina has the most points in the Eastern Conference, while Pittsburgh has the least.

Crosby’s troops look to keep the momentum going against the Capitals (19-31-5), who dropped a 5-4 decision to Philadelphia on Friday.
