Five monthly winners will be chosen between November and March. Each of the monthly winners will receive a bouquet of roses; four tickets to a Penguins home game; an on-ice scrimmage for her team during intermission; video board recognition during pack; and a $500 donation to the mother's team or organization.
The "Youth Hockey Mom of the Year" will be chosen from among the five monthly winners. She will receive on-ice recognition before the national anthem at the March 19 home game vs. Florida; a bouquet of roses; a customized Penguins jersey; a commemorative plaque; one party suite (40 tickets) for her team/organization; an on-ice scrimmage for her team; a Penguins prize pack; and a $1,000 donation to the mother's team or organization.

The company's agents wanted to find a way to recognize their friends' and neighbors' dedication and support of youth hockey programs across the region. Northwood's partnership with the Pittsburgh Penguins was a natural next step for continuing the award.
