For the fourth season, the Pittsburgh Penguins Wives Association has created a special holiday project for charity. This season, the ladies will once again decorate and fill holiday gift baskets!
Each holiday basket is decorated and filled with items unique to each player, coach or executive. Their baskets showcase the individual’s favorite things, hobbies, interests or hometown. While each gift basket differs in content and decoration, all baskets have a minimum monetary value of $75.00 and contain a Penguins mini-stick autographed by each player, coach or hockey operations executive.
All proceeds from the online auction will benefit The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh and help fund programs for children in need. The Children's Institute is dedicated to promoting the well-being of children, young people and their families and to providing services that meet their special needs. Their goal is to enable children and young adults with special needs to realize their fullest potential.
The auction will run from Friday December 11 until noon on Friday, December 18, 2009. Once the auction concludes and purchasers have been processed through Pay Pal, the gift baskets will begin shipping within two (2) business days via UPS Ground.
Please take a moment to review your bid amount before submitting. Any errors in the amount are the responsibility of the bidder and any bid submit is considered binding by Pay Pal and the National Hockey League. Please note that you do not need a Pay Pal account to bid on a holiday gift basket, but you will be prompted to enter your credit card information before you are declared the winning bidder.
