PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Penguins have trimmed their training camp roster by seven players, sending six players to their respective junior teams and releasing one other, it was announced today by General Manager Craig Patrick.

The six players returned to their junior teams are:  Forwards - Moises Gutierrez (Kamloops – WHL), Tyler Kennedy (Sault Ste. Marie – OHL), Jordan Morrison (Peterborough – OHL) and Johannes Salmonsson (Spokane – WHL); Defensemen – Kristopher Letang (Val d’Or – QMJHL) and Jean-Phillipe Paquet (Shawinigan – QMJHL).  Forward Rich Hansen has been released.

The Penguins training camp roster currently stands at 58 players (32 forwards, 21 defensemen and five goaltenders).

After on off-day on Tuesday, training camp moves to the home of the Penguins’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, on Wednesday.
