Penguins to Host Prospect Development Camp from June 26-28
Annual 3-on-3 tournament will be on Friday, June 28 at 7:00PM and all on-ice sessions will be open to the public at UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex
by Pittsburgh Penguins @penguins / Media ReleaseThe Pittsburgh Penguins will host their annual prospect development camp next week, June 26-28, at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry.
Development camp kicks off on Wednesday, June 26 with a pair of practices. Team A hits the ice from 1:30-2:15 PM, and Team B follows suit from 3:15-4:00 PM.
Thursday features skills sessions with the Penguins' skills development professional Ty Hennes, as he works with Team A at 10:00 AM, and Team B at 11:00 AM.
The on-ice portion of camp concludes on Friday night at 7:00 PM, when the players are broken up into four teams to compete in a 3-on-3 tournament for the Michel Briere Cup. Earlier that morning, the teams will hold traditional game-day morning skates.
All practices, including the 3-on-3 tournament, are open to the public and free of charge.
The full development camp roster will be released early next week.
As in previous years, the Penguins' development camp will feature a variety of off-ice presentations and activities focused on helping players transition to becoming a professional athlete.
