Penguins to Host Charity Hockey Game Friday Featuring Pittsburgh Police Icemen vs. Pittsburgh Firefighters

The Pittsburgh Penguins will host a charity hockey game on Friday, Oct. 12 at CONSOL Energy Center. It will be a faceoff featuring City of Pittsburgh Police Officers who will battle it out against Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire Firefighters. Admission is free, however, donations will be collected by uniformed firefighters at the door. All proceeds will benefit Matt Onyshko, a seven year veteran of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire based out of 32 Engine & Truck in Spring Garden, who is fighting Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

84 Lumber is matching donations collected at the door up to $5,000 and will also donate building materials for necessary renovations to the Onyshko home as he continues to battle ALS.

Guests may enter CONSOL Energy Center via the Trib Total Media Gate starting at 6:30 pm and all seating is general admission. Game time is set for 7 pm. Free parking will be available in CONSOL Energy Center surface lots after 5 pm.
